Dr. Zarmina Penner impresses at the International Speaker Slam 2025 in Dresden

"At the renowned International Speaker Slam on 30 January 2025 in Dresden, Dr. Zarmina Penner celebrated an outstanding success. The competition, which has previously taken place in major cities such as New York, Vienna, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden and Munich, once again attracted numerous talented speakers. With 240 participants,
a new world record was set.
The Speaker Slam is a unique speaking contest. Similar to poetry slams, where poets compete in reciting poetry or rapping, speakers compete against each other with their topics. The unique challenge is that each participant has two or four minutes to captivate and inspire their audience. In this short time, a speech must be concise, meaningful, and emotionally stirring—a true feat of speaking mastery. In addition, nerves of steel are required because the microphone is mercilessly switched off at the end of the allotted time. The event, initiated by top speaker Hermann Scherer, impresses with topics as diverse as life itself. At the end of the evening, an expert jury of authors, entrepreneurs, and experienced speakers selects the best speakers.
Business transformation expert Dr. Zarmina Penner from Großhansdorf near Hamburg impressed the audience and the jury with her presentation, “Clarity leads to action – obstacles are often just unanswered questions.” With her expressive stage presence and compelling arguments, she prevailed against intense competition and won one of the coveted prizes. One of the jury members said: "You combine the necessary seriousness, clarity, depth, and sympathy. Your clear message, exciting dramaturgy, storytelling, and strong presence impressed me."

The topics of the talks were chosen by the participants, who also decided whether they would focus on socially relevant content or personal experiences. The biggest challenge of the evening was to emotionally engage, convince, and inspire the audience and the expert jury in the shortest possible time – an art that Dr. Zarmina Penner mastered with flying colors."
